Bily Kun

Situated in the Plateau, Bily Kun is a trendy, hipster bar with a friendly and relaxed ambiance.
It’s got a quirky feel, decorated with mounted ostriches and serving craft beers the people here are good company. They have live music (mostly Jazz) which gives the place an intimate vibe which makes starting up a conversation really easy. The staff are hospitable and the girls are amenable to a few cheesy lines so pick ups are common.
Le Lab

With the senior bartender being referred to as a ‘mixologist’ you know that the cocktails are going to be special. This small bar in downtown Montreal runs cocktail workshops and has an avid following of bar fans.
The place is creative, inventive and the clientele are out for fun. The bar staff make for some memorable entertainment as they blaze out the latest inventions. Expect fire, juggling and all those tricks that Tom Cruise actually didn’t master. It all makes the atmosphere something quite special, with many women open to approach and plenty to talk about!
McKibbin’s Irish Pub

Unsurprisingly a traditional Irish pub gets out thumbs up and McKibbin’s makes it for the right reasons. A great spot to pick up cougars and sports fans, the pub has all the trappings of the cheeky Irish atmosphere you would hope for. There’s live music, traditional pub grub and the familiar stylings of a classic ‘pub’. After 10pm the place can get pretty crowded particularly on Fridays so get a spot at the bar or by the stage as early as you can.

Le Confessional

This small bar turned nightclub is decorated like an ornate and sophisticated church (hence the name). Dimly lit the place has a really intimate feel and is a reliable spot for good quality pick ups. It’s popular with 20-30 somethings being a hip place known for its dancing. They have open mic nights, great DJs and a well stocked bar. It is open from Wednesday through Saturday and closes at 3am.
Bar Biftek St Laurent
3702 Boul St-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2X 2V4
Popular for cheap drinks and attracting a university crowd, Bar Biftek is a bit spit and sawdust but is extremely friendly. With pool tables, live sports and good beer you can easily pass an evening away here in the company of some women looking for a pick up.

Tokyo

A more clubby kind of bar, Tokyo is good on Thursday and Sundays but a bit too busy on Fridays and Saturdays. The place is a lot of fun and not in the least bit pretentious despite its chic décor. The place has got a growing reputation for being a wild venue for party nights and can get quite crazy. The terrace is open during the summer and extends that heady feeling of club loving out into the night.
Those who don’t rate their chances in a more laid back pub scene will have a better chance of picking up ladies once the party kicks in here…
Chez Serge

Located up in St. Laurent you can find Chez Serge, a pleasure bar where it’s very easy to pick up girls. Not only can you drink from a bucket and ride a mechanical bull but you can also enjoy watching the waitresses dance on the bar. There is a ‘Wheel of Fortune’ behind bar, messy cocktails and free popcorn. The party goes on every Tuesday through to Sunday until 3am. Jumbo TV screens broadcast live sports, music and big events. The average age is about 25.
Velvet Speakeasy

Situated in the Old Port, the entrance to the Velvet Speakeasy is via a series of catacombs. It’s a stylish underground nightclub and is a perfect place to pick up a dancing partner late night. They serve cocktails, good beer and the vibes are spectacular. It can be very loud and get quite crowded but, with a tagline of ‘Be as you wish to be seen’ the girls look good.
