Combining a strip and night club with a sports bar, Lipstixx is a popular go-to in Winnipeg for a night out for exotic entertainment.

It’s a casual club with a friendly feel to it and has a good reputation for its entertainers and bar staff. However, the place is generally busier on a weekend and late nights/early mornings. Head to Lipstixx at 5pm on a Tuesday and you might not experience the best the club has to offer.

At busy times, there are usually half a dozen girls working the floor as well as regular choreographed performances on stage. $30 will buy you a private lap dance but remember to take plenty of cash for drinks as well as for entertainment and tips.

Situated a short walk from Portage and Main, the Solid Gold Club is a popular bachelor/bachelorette party venue and usually has quite a few of these groups in over the weekends. It is a lively club that has a reasonable reputation although there are some negative reviews online from dissatisfied customers. As with many strip clubs, it is worth taking some of these with a pinch of salt as they can often be from disgruntled guests who were shown the door as a result of their own behavior. By and large, customer comments are good, the prices are typical and the dancers of a high standard.

The main dance area is a keyhole stage with dance poles and seating around the outside. There is a large, well-stocked bar with further seating plus private dance areas. Decorated in dark blues and touches of opulent gold, the club has a glitzy feel to it but is far from being a ‘prestige’ venue.

Cover charges are around $10 with a lap dance costing from $20 with average drinks being $6.

The club is open from Monday to Saturday from 7.00pm to 2.00am.

One of the more highly regarded strip clubs in Winnipeg, Teasers is owned and operated by strippers. What this means is that the dancers welfare is paramount and this shows in both the quality of the performances as well as the recruitment.

It’s a club that has a good atmosphere, great service and friendly staff (including the bartenders and security). However, there are aspects of the club which do need some attention such as the restrooms and parts of the décor. Teasers has been open around eight years and, in places, this is beginning to show.

Covering 7500 square feet of space, the club has a large, fully-stocked bar which serves a range of liquors, beers and soft drinks. Happy hour runs from midday to 7.00pm daily (not Sundays) with specials offered during this time.

Of course, it is the performances that lure punters back to the club time after time and the dancers specialize in burlesque routines as opposed to a simple ‘striptease’. It is this that sets the club aside from the others and Teasers certainly has one of the better reputations in the city.
