It’s a privately run social club for open-minded swingers that welcomes adventurous adults of any sexual persuasion. An upscale environment, the Adult Playground Club offers an alternative to swinging clubs and nightclubs in Calgary.

Open every weekend, the club runs regular events as well as themed nights to suit all tastes; from hot wife nights to karaoke, gang bang and glory hole to Sybian nights.

Established in 2005, the Adult Playground Club is situated at the ‘Studio’, a privately-owned venue in Calgary; the address is only given out to members. The club covers approximately 1400 square feet and includes a dance floor, bar and lounging areas with a ‘dungeon feel’.

Members of the club range in persuasion and background; kinksters and swingers, gay, lesbian and transsexuals are all welcome. With members ranging in age from 21 to 60 years old, the club offers a diverse mix of alternative lifestyle aficionados.

There is an active (but private) Facebook group for all members so you can connect with other couples and singles. At the time of writing, the group had over 460 members.

Opening Times

The Adult Playground Club is open for playtime every Friday and Saturday night with each having their own theme and atmosphere. Doors open at 9.00pm with the party going until the early hours of the following morning.

Fetish Fridays

With a reputation for offering a slightly saucier than usual vibe, Friday nights at the Adult Playground Club are open for single males, single females, couples and open play partners. Individuals may be gay, lesbian, trans-gendered, cross dressers, submissive or dominant. The open and welcoming environment is ideal for anyone wishing to explore their alternative side.

Swinger Saturdays

What to Expect

New guests considering a membership at the Adult Playground Club are given a tour on their first visit and introduced to other regulars. Members are friendly and welcoming and will take the time to answer questions, show you the ropes and introduce you to other people.

The lounging area is relaxed and informal with an area at the bar to get free soft drinks or to store your BYOB. If you are new to the scene then it’s advisable to attend on a regular night and not the gangbang/orgy night as this can be intimidating to newcomers.

When it comes to anything that happens at the club, you are not expected to join in if you don’t want to. However, if you do fancy getting involved, then you will need to respect the rules.

What is the Dress Code for the Adult Playground Club?

The club has a laid-back attitude to dress code but do ask that you dress not only for comfort but for hygiene. The dress code could best be described as casual with no ripped jeans, joggers, baseball caps or sweats. Management reserve the right to refuse entry to any guests whose appearance might offend other members.

Plenty of guests dress to impress and take the opportunity to really pull out the stops with attention-grabbing, sexy outfits.

How do you become a member of the Adult Playground Club?

In order to become a member of The Adult Playground you will need to complete an initial inquiry form, providing some basic information about yourself and your circumstances.

All applicants are vetted by the management and you will be sent an invitation to attend one of the regular Friday or Saturday night events (single males, Fridays only).

Once you arrive, you will be shown around the club and facilities. Your conduct will be monitored by other club members and if there are no problems and you wish to join then you can sign up for membership on your second visit.

Once you have paid for your full membership, you will be given a membership card and added to the newsletter distribution list. You will be required to present your card each time you attend an event.

How Much Does Membership Cost?

Annual membership costs $80 per couple or $40 per person (by invitation or prearranged appointment); however, your first visit is also charged at $80 per couple or $40 per person.

Members must pay a cover charge for each event they attend at a rate of $20 per person or $40 per couple.

Membership cover charges include soft drinks, use of the bar and bar snacks.
