Filmores is a quirky club.

It employs a select group of dancers who each have their own persona to draw in the punters.

From Ms Lovejoy the nurse to CC Bangcock the sultry brunette with a dirty streak and Detective Staxx…“you have the right to be aroused”.

Whilst the advertising is somewhat of a novelty, the girls are attractive, exceptionally well put together and very talented dancers. Friendly and encouraging, they do their very best to work a room and get the maximum amount of action from the customers — which is exciting to watch, even it’s not your lap they are dancing in!

There are about fifty girls working on the books at Filmores so there is always a good range of faces (and bodies) to see on different nights.

The venue operates a full nude dancing entertainment schedule and management encourage big spenders in their VIP area (or ‘Player’s Lounge’) with bottle service and tantalisingly good lap dances. Because the venue is fully nude the ‘don’t touch anything that’s covered’ rule is strictly adhered to but each woman is different so go in carefully with the hands; the bouncers are all over anyone with a full-on octopus approach!

With low lighting and a thrust runway stage into the audience, the seating is forward facing in modern black leather two seater couches and small tables and chairs.

Filmores is couple friendly and offers bachelor party entertainment as well as corporate and private parties. Voted Canada’s #1 club for stag and corporate events party bookings can be tailored to suit.

Reviews for Filmores are consistently good with the exception of the occasional disgruntled customer who was probably ejected for bad behaviour or not paying his bar bill. There are some Toronto strip clubs with a less than stellar reputation, but this is generally seen as one of the better options for a sexy striptease with minimal trouble.

The overall feel of Filmores is edgy but with an upmarket and stylish vibe. Its popular with locals and tourists and has a reputation for excellent standards of entertainment with fair management and good prices.

Services & Facilities

The venue is well designed and modern in style with an in-house DJ providing loud music to keep the atmosphere from getting stale and to keep the dancers moving. There is a full bar which stocks an excellent range of premium liquors, beer and wine as well as serving a standard range of cocktails.

The strip club is conveniently situated in the premises of the Filmore Hotel which offers reasonably priced, clean accommodation.

Whilst people who book there are usually aware of the venues affiliation there are sometimes characters who are sat at the bar who have no idea. There is an amusing review of a lady who accidentally booked her and her mother in to the hotel and ended up in the strip club. Unsurprisingly they were made to feel very welcome and they thoroughly enjoyed their evening.

Filmores runs regular special events particularly around the holidays and sporting events which can attract bigger crowds. They sometimes run promotion during these times so check their social media feeds and website to stay up to date.

Prices at Filmores

Lap dances are $30 for the first lap dance and $20 for each subsequent one. They are charged by the song and there is the possibility, with some women, for extras if you are prepared to pay. Don’t hold us to that!

Drinks are reasonable and are in keeping wih prices charged across the rest of the city. You can expect to pay $10-12 for a cocktail, $9 for shots and about $7-10 for beer.

They run a happy hour during the day between 4pm and 7pm when drinks (but not the dances) are cheaper.

There is a $10 fee for getting into the VIP area which is only payable once; you receive a black light stamp and you can come and go all evening.

Payment can be made by card or cash and there is an ATM on site.

Opening Times

The club is open Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 2am and Sunday from 5pm to 2am. Weekends and late evenings are much busier than during the week so arrive early to get the best seats.

Filmores Hotel is situated on the corner of Dundas Street E and George Street near the Ryerson University. The address is 212 Dundas Street E, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 1Z8.

The venue is about a ten-minute cab ride from downtown, convention centre, Air Canada Centre or the Rogers Centre. There is no parking on site but there is plenty of local parking available at around $5 for an evening.
